kotahitanga is a time where the children come together to share fruit and discuss and plan forward what they are going to do for the rest of the kindergarten day.
Today as I was preparing the boards and knives the children were all eager to help prepare the fruit, peeling mandarins, and cutting up the apples and feijoa's. He rawe tēnā, this is great! There was a lot of perservering with dificulty and taking turns as the children worked interdependently to achieve a common goal.
